Then we spent some time playing at the pirate ship park.
Not being in the water for an entire year was a big setback. Thursday she was quite timid when first entering the water. Blowing air out of her nose and mouth and swimming under the water had to be relearned. But, by the time we left she had that figured out, and was working on swimming the crawl with her face in the water, and doing lots of very active play. I was so impressed with her determination and progress during the 3 hours we spent at the pool.
We are still visiting the hospital on a weekly basis for blood checks and Jemma continues to take chemotherapy pills at home. Last week her white blood cell count was above 4000. This was far above the desired level of 2000 so her medication was increased. Other than that life is quite normal around here.
