Hobbies and Handicrafts - March 1

If you haven't had a chance to yet, be sure to browse the posts linked up last week. The kids have been doing so many interesting projects. I love the George Washington wig and Middle Ages history projects. Playing with numbers makes math fun and predicting which container holds the most liquid gets little scientists thinking.

Have you ever heard of an art journal? They can be done in many different ways. It's an interesting concept because art journals are creative and also encourage children to write. Navigating By Joy has a tutorial on one way to create art journals, so be sure to check it out.

If you were featured today or in the past please grab an I've Been Featured button.

What have your kids been doing? "Hobbies and Handicrafts" is a weekly link-up to share and show-off your kid's projects. Kid made items of any type are fair game. This is their chance to shine. What did they choose to make? What patterns/books/tools did they use? How did they get the idea? What inspired them?

Feel free to link-up a post you've already written and comment on the posts of others! I’m excited to see what your kids have created.

What have your kids been up to?

  1. I've nothing to enter but thanks for hosting, it's a great linky!!

  2. Thank you for highlighting our art journalling. It was one of our favourite projects and as you say, anything that encourages writing...!
