Glockenspiel - Munich and a Cooper

A cooper is a person who makes wooden barrels.

There is a myth that says the coopers doing their dance helped to ward off the plague passing through Munich, Germany.

Today the Cooper's dance is reinacted three times a day on the Munich Glockenspiel and every seven years in Munich. Many find the Glockenspiel highly overrated, but my four-year old daughter found it the highlight of her trip to Munich.

  1. Oh I might be with your daughter. I'd love to see the Cooper's dance.
