Castello Normanno-Svevo

Castello Normanno-Svevo in Bari, Italy was built during the 12th century by Norman conquerors. The Normans were a seafairing people decended from the Norse Vikings from the Northlands of Norway and Denmark. The castle was later destroyed and rebuilt by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.
 The castle contains towers arranged in a trapazoidal configuration with a center courtyard.
