Barenloch Park in Kindsbach

Barenloch is one of my favorite local parks. Like many German parks it has a small restaurant, open in the summer that has a limited menu.

The kids love the playground.

The white building is the restaurant and the blue thing is a swimming pool. The water level is very low in the photo. During the summer months it is much higher and children enjoy playing in the concrete swimming pool that is built into the side of this lake. On hot days it is common to see several adults swimming (always the breast stroke) up and down the length of the lake.

  3. Lovely to see your park in Germany, I don't think I have seen one like this before in England, is that all free or do you need to pay to go? There seams to be plenty to do to keep everyone happy. I rather fancy a swim in that lake! Thank you for linking up to Country Kids

  5. Great photos, that park looks like such good fun. My little boy would love that bumpy slide and is that a trampoline? I love the tree sculpture too, I always enjoy finding art in unexpected places.
I've popped over from Country Kids.

    1. Yes, that's a trampoline. There are all kinds of plaything that show up at German parks which are banned or rare in the US such as teeder-todders and trampolines. - The land surrounding the park used to be inhabited by Celts. I suspect the sculpture has something to do with them.

  6. What a marvellous slide! And those bouncy floor trampolines are brilliant, I fear we wouldn't have them in the UK due to health and safety restrictions.
