Making Apple Juice

Apple trees grow abundantly in Germany and many are stored as juice. There is a local club that makes apple juice each fall located in the same building as our village preschool.
First the apples are washed.
Then they are removed from the water with a large shovel with holes.
Next the apples are chopped up into small pieces.
Then the choppings are shoveled into a cloth, wrapped and stacked.
As they are pressed in the machine the juice drips into the silver tray.
The tray leads to a series of tubes where the juice is pasturized.
 Finally it is sampled.
And packed into containers to be used throughout the year.
